Vereinigte Werkstäten für Kunst im Handwerk ((United Workshops for Art in Craft) functioned between 1898 and 1991 in München and it was established in order to gain greater recognition for the applied arts. Many famous artists and designers have had their projects realized there, for example Hermann Obrist, Richard Riemerschmid, Bruno Paul, and Peter Behrens.
